Default Looking for P201/Engine Yoke/Fixture for 911 - Buy/Trade/Borrow/Rent?

Hey all,

Looking to rebuild my gearbox and do some engine work this winter and don't want to shell out the $$$$ for a brand new P201 engine yoke to hold up my engine/gearbox on the engine stand. Yes, I want the proper P201 tool, and am not looking to use a generic mount.

If anyone in the community has one that they aren't using this winter, I'm willing to rent it, buy it, trade for it etc.... let me know what you want in return! Cash, nice bottle of scotch, case of beer..... open to suggestions!

Worst case... I'll fork over the money for a new one. Here's what I am looking for specifically:

I am going to need the same yoke in the spring, so perhaps our respective timing works.
If you find one to buy I'd be happy to split the cost.
And I am in/near Ottawa

Default Looking for P201 engine yoke/fixture for sale

Anyone out there have a used one for sale? Just getting started on full restoration of friend's 69 911s so relatively new to forum, but I'm sure I'll be a frequent visitor/participant once project is underway.
Thanks,
Mark

Check out the VW version , i picked one up a few years ago for less than half the price of the Porsche unit and it does the job ...
I pulled my 3.2 out twice and also used it when i was putting my 3.6 together for an engine swap !

Cheers
Phil

Phil,
Thanks for the quick response. Do you recall where you purchased it or who manufactures it?

Oh boy ... that was a while ago , although i've seen the Porsche model on Ebay for $228.00 US dollars
I'll try to dig up where mine came from , might be difficult though. I know for sure it was a VW part , not as beefy as the Porsche model but it did the job three times.

*** Update ***
Mark , i purchased it on Ebay on 2011/10/05 from VWalley1 , it was described as a VW/Porsche 5 arm engine yoke , although the seller seems to no longer be active on Ebay !

Cheers
Phil
