Default Mosport laps questions

Anyone have an idea why lapping and instruction cost substantially more money on the Driver Development Track at Mosport than the Grand Prix Track at Mosport? Seems it should be other way round, no?

I would guess GP track can have more people on it at the same time and the track rental is not far off from one and the other so divide the number of drivers by the cost and GP track is less expensive.

Funny thing is I just instructed this past weekend and my student offered me a generous tip , of course I refused even though he insisted. I told him he would probably need the money later on if he gets hooked on this hobby. lol
This is the third or 4th time I have been offered a tip and have refused them all. Totally wrong to accept a tip from a student , remember its not the $$$ its the people !

There's a great 'ahem' thread in the Racing and DE forum of similar topic. A fun read
