Default TPMS antennas and module

Hi, my TPMS light is on in my 2008 Cayenne S. The message shows "TPMS system not active". I have brand new Autel MX sensors in my rims. The display doesn't show any psi on each wheel. Is there a fuse for the TPMS system? Any advise greatly appreciated. Thanks

Nope those sensors will not work in your vehicle. Those are RDE048. You have three chooses. Dealer part, OE RDE048 that you can buy from below or you can get the new Huf 7050 programmable that can be programmed to a RDE048. Autel does not have the protocol to program to a RDE048.

Maybe a silly question, but were the Autel sensors programmed for your car? These sensors don’t just work out of the box, you need a device to program them to the specific car.

I saw a you tube video that you have to select the type of tires on the display of the car. The computer shows then how much the tire pressure should be. Then you just need to drive for a couple of miles. The car has self programming ability.

That is definitely not how Autel MX sensors are activated. You need to use an external tool to program them. I have one (Autel TS508). If you are in GTA, I can help you if you’d like.

I am using Autel sensors in my 911, in both summer and winter sets, I was able to easily activate them using the tool mentioned, they work great!
