Yah. Funny thing is I could get more for my old bike now than I did when I sold it 3 years ago. Sums it up well.

Anyone try a "Moustache style" handlebar on a hybrid bike? I've started to develop a bit of wrist pain (too much mouse and keyboard during lockdown), and worried about cycling for fitness again when it warms up. I am rehabbing my wrist with a couple of splints (my wife was a certified hand therapist / physiotherapist).

Also, just 2 weeks into trying the Peloton app for indoor cycling. I have a magnetic exercise bike. I didn't think online spin classes would help, but my workouts are much better - more cardio heart rate than without it...
I use to be about 110bpm while watching old episodes of Mentalist on the exercise bike,
Week 1 of Peloton App, it went up to 120-125bpm
Week 2 of Peleton App it's over 130bpm average.
(I also got a cadence sensor for Xmas to track cadence)

I was averaging 130-135bpm on a hard "fast -term used loosely" outdoor ride in the fall. 17km/ 158m elevation gain

I'm even out of the saddle on a few occasions on the exercise bike. I'm 99% in the saddle on the road.

There is a 2 month free trial for the Peloton App.

Ordered this yesterday... Ohlins FGMTB-3617-2070 M.2 (version 2) coil suspension (not air shock) for my Trek Slash Enduro mountain bike with a 46mm offset.

The race proven TTX 18 dampening from the DH38 Race Fork has been reworked to give optimal traction and control on trails and Enduro race courses. The TTX 18 cartridge kit featuring trail-optimized 18 mm piston for improved small bump sensitivity. With increased damping pressure bandwidth the damping valve response and sensitivity has improved.

The adjustment range specifically for trail to Enduro race use with 15 clicks of low speed compression and low speed rebound. For high speed compression you get 3 clicks plus a climb mode setting. Retuned twin piston three chamber air spring system allowing total air spring tuning from the initial movement through to the bottom out.

Improved tire clearance, the chassis will take up to a whopping 29 x 2.8 and 27.5+ x 3.2. There are many technical improvements in the fork but we did not stop there, the design has also been updated and matches what you see on the race courses.

Yes, says who?

And at night to boot!

Sunset in the woods near my house where there are over 20 kms of fat Bike trails to ride.

Riding at night.

And yes it was cold...

For the guys with fatbikes, I rode a friends the other day and loved it (his was rigid). My question is, with tires as 4lbs psi, on snow trails, what is the benefit / need for front or full suspension?

Minimal in the winter on groomed trails which are basically smooth and hardly any obstacles... However in the spring, summer and fall when the trails are full of obstacles like roots, dead trees, rocks, jumps and steep descents like on a ski hill with possibly even greater obstacles, it is awesome to have a front suspension but even better with a fully suspended bike.

I started with a regular Fat Bike, then realized that with front fork with a suspension it was 100% better and then going full suspension there was another big jump (punt intended) in comfort and performance.

Have you ever seen a motocross, an off-road vehicle or a rally car without a suspension? Well I suggest the same theory applies to Fat Bikes especially if you intend to use year round and on obstacle ridden trails.

4psi is fresh powder conditions.
Most often 6-8psi for faster conditions.

I ride front suspension, but have had both.
Full suspension is overkill for fatbiking in snow - but if you ride in all seasons, it's wonderful in every way.

Average speeds on a fatbike 8 years ago was 7km/h on a fast day
now, with how much traffic the trails get and the grooming options we can average up to and sometimes over 15kph, which sounds slow... but on a fatbike, that's lightspeed.

if anyone has a 52-54cm frame touring/enduring roadbike that is not getting used, and they want to get rid of it, send me a PM with specs.... I'm thinking of a new bike for this year, might do a China gravel bike build, since there's nothing on the used market...

re China gravel carbon bike build, So far, I've got a list of parts on a google docs spreadsheet... About $2000cdn and 8kg or so thus far....

LOL... My latest mod to my Fat Bike... Received these little babies yesterday... Downloaded the TyreWiz App into the SRAM App on my cell and onto my Garmin Edge 830... Can't wait to see this mod in action on my Fat Bike.

TyreWiz TPMS sensors. The only weigh 10 grams each.

Tire pressure range setup page in the SRAM application.

The pressure readout page in the SRAM App page on your cell.

The readout on the Garmin Edge 830.

@Jet Jockey do you use a shockwiz for your suspension also?
perhaps not as crutial in winter... but for summer I swear by it.
After 25 years of racing I still managed to get another 15% efficiency out of the bike, which is a LOT.
