Looks like a need to find the plugs that collect the water from behind the dash. I leave the battery disconnected now.
look up the sunroof and cowl drains and you will see they are blocked usually at the ends inside the front wheel liner.

Now I need to figure out the best way to unlock the wheels they seem to be welded to the rotors and won't spin with the car is neutral. Can't move the car at all with my poor little subaru

Well I checked all the drain plugs 6 of them. All were clear. but I did find the source of the problem. While pouring water into various places I opened up the sun roof and drivers side allows water to go right into the drivers sides A pillar and pours out into it the cabin by the dash. I don;t think it is blocked it flows very fast so I think the tube must have cracked since the other side works fine and drains out though a plug. I know that the drivers side plug is clean as it works as well so not something I can fix.
Since it isn't in a garage I have jacked up the drivers side and put a brick until the front tire to help keep water from flowing down that drain. I am hoping it will drain on the other side now or the rear drain.

you may want to block that drain at the top and just let water pool there or go out the other side/ could put some clear tape or silicon over seam of sunroof and block water from entering in the first place.

If you plug the drain hole, water will not necessarily drain at the other 3 holes. In my 928, it decided to just start coming in before it drained. Pull the kick panel and glove box off and start looking for the drain pipe.

The leak is on the other side. I would have to pull the A-piller interior off I think. Being that it is from the drivers side sunroof drain, with the sunroof closed the amount of water getting in is small. Now that I have jacked up one side, water naturally is running to the good drain side. Also the sunroof front allows water to flow from one side to the other side nothing blocking it.

I think I will use masking tape to also cover the seem on the outside of the sunroof to prevent what does come in to seal it off, at least just the drivers side. Using masking tape has low adhesion so it won't be hard to remove and not leave a ton of sticky stuff on the glass and paint. I will have to look into more if I runs again and start using it again but then I could just park it in a spot with a roof and not drive it in the rain.

This is just temporarily for now now. There is a recall out on it for fuel pump, who knows but this could be the cause of not starting. I could just plan a oil change, spark plugs and maybe ignition coils get the fuel pump done and see if it runs again before fixing or sinking any more into it. I am soldering the broken wires my self and to I don't think those things other things should cost that much to get done.

sounds like a plan. I would maybe hold off on oil, plugs and coils as thats a few hundred bucks. what codes if any is it showing? even a cheap obd2 reader will show those. for the fuel pump, you can visually inspect it easily and if it is faulty it will show cracks on top.
for temporary to stop water you can attach a tarp by closing it under the doors, another alternative.

Did you run a small cable through the sunroof drain to see where it comes out?
I'd crimp and use adhesive shrink tubing before soldering. Soldering can break in anything that moves.

also look on the Cayenne forum as this has happened to many others. some even complained their roof would fill with water if it rained.

Picked up a Diesel today, not as powerful but after 300km today at 7.4l/100km I happy with it.
One issue need to get sorted but it came with a tow hookup and can tow up to 7700lbs.

My first thought was to get a replacement that is capable of towing a trailer and my Turbo to track. To get my 955 turbo back into condition to do this would be half the cost of getting the diesel and then still would have required to add the tow hitch to it. At the end of the day its really bad on gas 15-18l/100km of premium fuel and daily driving it isn't feasible.

So no I didn't even bother to ask due to posing this question on this thread and getting the feed back. Really no point is selling it. Doesn't cost that much to keep it. If I can replace the fuel pump and get it working again then it could get use as an off-roader. I have 850 acres to play on. Would have traded if it were worth more but really I don't need the money its worth I rather see it sit. I'll recharge the battery. listen to the audio system in it and have a a few beer in it occasionally until I have extra money to throw away and get it running again.
I have a plan now though, keep it from more water penetration and store it, next would be have in towed to dealer and get the fuel pump recall done. If it doesn't start then have them replace the spark plugs and coils if required. That should be enough to make a final judgement.

o/p - i don't have a Turbo, but i did have a wet floor on my X5. The sunroof drains were clear. But the drains below the windshield were blocked with sand and organics. Some careful vacuuming and scraping revealed small drains in the bottom of this aquarium. Water was filling this cavity and running in the wiring loom. While it is water resistant, it was not water proof.
