Flags should be half mast. One of very few musicians whose instrumental peers agree he was pretty much the best rock drummer.

Default What’s your favourite Rush song to drive with?

For me Villa Strangiato is a great driving song, and one of Neil Peart’s finest moments.

Some what odd the way the media made such a huge deal about Gord Downie and Neil Peart in my opinion was a much more popular , talented and decorated Canadian musician
?? Funny the way that is ??

My daughter received a kit for xmas this year, while reading up on different drummers setup came across an article on Neal. At thirteen he started out with a sticks and a drum pad for a year to show he was dedicated enough to have lessons, humble beginnings.... A sad loss of another music icon.

even simpler .. Downie went public and got media attention, Neil was a very private person and stayed that way till the very end.

Hey, whatever helps you get through something like that--no wrong answers here.

Both of those bands were/are huge here in the Buffalo area and both gents are/will be missed.
