Put winters on last week. Going into heated storage on Friday at SCB but will drive on dry days assuming we don't get the ice build up in the center of the road like last winter in Toronto. Snow tomorrow night and all next week in GTA. Looking at some old pics....got sled stuck in massive drift last Nov 22!

I drove the boxster today and got snow showered on.... was going to my parents to do their winter tire swap for them.... 40 minutes with a jack, cordless impact, smeared a touch of antiseize on the alloy wheel mating surface so that they will come off easy in the spring...
At least the snow didn't stick to my car... soon it will be time to put her away....

I put mine away on Sunday.
Went for a drive in the morning to warm up the oil, on the way home filled up the tank and added Stabil.
At home, I was under the car on the crawler removing the filter and drain plug, rolled out and it had started snowing.
Perfect timing

Current plan is to put my RS away next weekend, have a heated garage space north of the city that I used last year for my GTS. Calling for snow next Saturday though so could be tricky given the car is running Sport Cup 2's.
Will be the same routine as last year though... full tank of Shell V-Power, tires to 50 psi, fuel stabilizer, battery tender, and car cover. Piece of cake.

Going to Collingwood for the weekend. Three days of 2-4 cm a day scheduled.
Snow tires are going on tomorrow night.
Wife, 14 year old, 16 year old are helping. Each is going a tire.
The boys often help, wife sometimes.
This year, I'm stepping it up a notch.
Sure I have a floor jack, cordless impact, torque wrench and huge breaker bar.
Tomorrow they will be using the tools from the car. Find and use, the jack from the car, the wrench.
Where is it, where does it attach, how does it work? And where does it all go back to. All in a well lit, and warm environment.
Sure you can call CAA on the side of the road and wait 30-90 minutes for help. Or you can help yourself, or maybe help someone else help themselves.
Big Smoke (SOB, dad & husband)
Plus you get to clean the wheels properly and scrub the wheel well and calipers.
