I am having a hard time understanding who this is for. People who don't want to own a car, but drive a lot?

Yeah I have no idea, maybe its for the ones that live downtown that don't have parking spots? Ones that are only here for the summer? Your guess is as good as mine.

Its equivalent ot having 30,000km a year... so that's an awful lot of driving

I would love to use this but those prices are crazy. It's more expensive than the US cost plus the exchange rate. I'm pretty sure I could lease a 718S and a Macan S for less than $3200. And for $4200 I think I could lease a GT3.

Insurance is also more expensive here than it is in the States no? I think that's one of the factors for the increased price.

I can't see insurance being that much of a difference. I pay $230 a month for a Macan GTS and a GT3RS.

Don't worry, you'll be old before you know it.

Unless I'm getting it wrong, in each Tier, you have the option of moving back and forth between different vehicles. Is that right? So in "Launch", you can use a Macan or Cayenne in the winter or to haul stuff on a road trip, then swap out to a Boxster S for a summer, top down cruise, and then the next day take out a Panamera for dinner with another couple? And it is a monthly service with no locked-in "term"? If so, then of course you are going to pay a premium to have that kind of flexibility. You can't compare the prices to traditional leases where you are in the same car for 36 months. If they had a third tier where I could pick amongst a GT3RS, Cayenne Turbo, Panamero Turbo Sport and 718 Spyder, I'd sure as hell be interested.

Of coarse I'd pay a premium for the flexibility but if I was budgeting 3000 to 4000$ a month for a vehicle I wouldn't be happy with a base Cayman or even a base 911.

If your third tier was $8200/month would you still be interested?

It actually might be worth it. Consider the cost of leasing a GT3RS with zero down and it's stored in your garage 1/2 the year while you are still paying for it.

I will trade you. I will be 25 again, and you can have my insurance rates.

As long as leases are cheap, these subscription services will never catch on.
