I'm surprised Jack @ Gtek isn't getting any love. Mind you I haven't been in years.
I have had a few cars in there, for difficult problems. Jack has been fair with me. They prep a lot of race/track cars. I find race car shops, often bump customers plebeian vehicles.
So I also agree with some of the above comments. BUT, he has the computers and equipment that a lot of indies don't have. Rotating your tires? Go somewhere else.
Passenger airbag light and need a computer read and module/sensor behind the bumper. Gtek was quick and on budget. Where my favorite indy, could not provide.

x2 for MVS Motors on Warden & Ellesmere south of 401. Mario and Nick are as good and honest as it can get.
These guys are rock solid as they get ..Very fair prices and honest and timely. I can read a shop in a matter of minutes after walking in and meeting the staff and this place is above excellent.
just had a small issue corrected by MVS. Nick and his dad Mario seem like really nice, knowledgeable and fair guys. The shop had lots of Pcars including 951, 928, 964 944S2, 997 and more. I would recommend these guys.
Another for MVS. Had them do my clutch + IMS at a very competitive price. Nick even took the time after the shop closed to show me around the 944 he was building up.
They are by far the closest shop to me so I really wanted them to be my go-to. I had them do the PPI on my car but felt like it was a Honda in for an oil change. No sense of passion, attention to detail or desire to communicate well.
Since taken my car to Keltech for the IMS Solution, clutch and all the accompanying goodies. And take it back every Winter to prep it for sleep.
I used to visit Independent Tuning with my Audis. Mark is fair and honest. Never thought to take the Porsche to them (Mark).
