The fact of the 991.2 GT3, GT3RS and GT2RS is that most anyone that wanted a new one, got one. Eventually...
I don't believe I've heard or read about a single willing customer who put an order in get turned away... Some had to wait longer than others, but Porsche built a car for just about every order. This car has been for sale over MSRP over 2 months and will probably remain for sale until it drops to or below actual MSRP (forget about taxes, mods, PDI, etc...). That's no offence meant to you OP, I am more just making a comment about the 991.2 market and the number of cars available for purchase.
Porsche GT division has been public and vocal about taking measures to curb the flipping, speculation and profiteering of their GT cars, and the best way to do that is to saturate the market - which they have definitely done with the 991.2 iterations. Those that speculated on the 991.2 cars, are likely to be left holding the bag this time around.

2019 GT3RS - 4,850
18/19 GT2RS - 3,590
18/19 GT3 - 9,541
991.2 GT3 is already 50% higher production than all of 991.1 GT3 and there are still plenty more to come. Could be double 991.1 GT3 numbers by time all said and done. As I said, maybe you don't get the first allocation, or even the 20th, but everyone gets a seat this time around if they're patient.
9500+ and counting while still in production, makes paying way over msrp a tough proposition. As others above noted, just look at availability on autotrader alone - 36 991.2 GT cars available in Canada right now. This is not a 'hard' car to get (by Porsche GT standards...).

Touring is just an option when you have a gt3 allocation. It's rare because few people optioned for it, not because porsche restricted production on touring models. all i'm trying to say is it's not easy to get a gt3 allocation,a lot of people who wanted one didn't get one.
