****, then just leave the keys in the car and the door unlocked! Like in Seinfeld when his BMW smelled bad.

Seinfeld is the best! He however showed a homeless guy the keys then threw them into the car for the guy to grab. But the smell was too great for a free 5 series. Maybe OP needs to create a nasty stench around the perimeter of his property.

So this only works with push button start?

There are so may keys beside my front door the thief wouldn't know what to steal first!

Both of our vehicles go in the garage, especially the 911.

Wondering about this as well, are older cars effected. My key barely works more then 4 feet away from the car as it is so I would think that my 2001 and 2002 would be safe.

Get your wife to toss you her metal Lush soap box or use an old cold lozenges metal box (a classic container!). Both are metal and fit a fob perfectly.

Yes only works for cars with push button start and proximity detection to unlock the doors...crooks basically amplify the signal from the keys so the car thinks they have the key on them. Once the car it started it will run until they turn it off - and then its too late....
