Check out the RL 991 GT forum. 50+ pages and growing, including participation some RL’s who are personally affected.

edit: 75 pages now. Crazy situation.

as for the story, in my view, Porsche is partly to blame for this s-show since if they actually produced enough cars for everyone that wanted one, there wouldn't have been these ridiculous ADM's in the U.S., which resulted in people paying these crazy $50K deposits.

Lot of work for $2.5 mil though.
Probably already out of the country and to somewhere they can better blend in and not be found.

I find it odd that people didn't think it was weird to be dealing with the Marketing VP and not the sales team? With that kind of deposit I would want to personally speak with the sales manager. There must be more to this story, perhaps others were involved. Perhaps just blinded by the excitement of getting one with the low production numbers.

Edit. I see he was in charge of GT sales.

Default Worthy of an episode of American Greed

If you read through the whole 70+ pages on RL forum, you will see: $2.5M fraud, ADM fraud, 911R fraud, shell companies, off-shore banking, wage garnishments, 10 children, hints at murder of prior owner, collusion allegations, hints at son of deceased owner using position/power for girl-friends, etc.

Pretty dramatic indeed.

I wonder if the dealer will be able to cover the loss without going under. That is a huge mess.

I've read the larger thread on it, it sounds like it would make a great movie.

Biggest dealer in the US. Theyll eventually make everyone whole and the lineups and insanity over GT cars will continue unabated. They will make them and people will line up to pay over sticker and Porsche world will keep turning.
Interesting soap opera though.
