OT: Golf R as a DD

Thanks for all of the input. I drove the car again and took it home to show my wife and had her drive it (she will use it once or twice per week to drive to work in Niagara). She didn't seem to impressed, mainly because she does not like window tint (but I do) and because its much smaller than my 9-5. If I pull the trigger I'm going to extend the warranty ($2200), that will give me 3 years or 80k (Till 120k, car has 44k now) of factory warranty. The car is a one owner, original paint, no accidents with the DSG auto and tech package. It also has the whole front end covered with 3M protection film as well as the tops of the doors and the top of the rear bumper. The car shows as new and was obviously cared for by it's first owner.

My brother just got a new 2018 GTI (his 3rd), and really likes it. I wanted him to get the R but that didn't happen because it was an insurance replacement from a tree falling on his last one about 1 month ago.. It had less the 100KM when he picked it up. I'll wait until its broken in before I take it for a real ride.

I took a 2017 Golf Alltrack home to show the accountant. She prefers the R. I was shocked, maybe she has been drinking today. LOL
VW was trying to hard sell me on a 2018 R. They have stock they need to move. LOL

Also depends on how you want it configured. I just lease a 2018 R in Onyx white, with 6-speed manual. It took a month to arrive. There are lots of autos around, but not many manuals.

Soon this will be in my garage.
It has the DSG Auto and the Technology package. Whole front has 3m film, paint is 100% perfect.
Will be put back on the stock springs prior to delivery.

Used, 2016. I should be getting it tomorrow. Just waiting for VW to complete the warranty extension inspection. Multiline in Oakvillle has been fantastic to deal with, I highly recommend them.
And thanks to everyone that helped on this thread.

Good luck on your hunt.
Here is a shot of it back to stock springs.
