Default Belair Direct Insurance

Been a customer for over a decade but on renewing they put the deductible on the 911 to $5000 up from $1000!!!

Supposedly it's a new underwriting 'policy' so nothing they can do about it. just a heads up to anyone else out there who has insurance with them.

I am no longer a customer needless to say....

I switched to Aviva last month. I find that a lot of insurance companies just try to screw you over once you stay with them for a while, the renewal notice would come and prices will be higher or deductable will go up. I've got no loyalty to these companies.

Yup, they first narked me when they introduced the 'first accident forgiveness' policy, this is where your first at-fault has no effect on premium. They brought it in when Ontario capped insurance premium hikes. It was free for a couple of years and them they started charging $200 per car for it! A nice way to side step the 'premium increase' cap in Ontario.....

They did the same with home flood insurance. Took it out. But you could buy a rider to put it back in. Legal organized crime

It depends on the value of your car. You must have a car with declared value over $200,000.

Although Belair is under Intact's umbrella, they are 2 complete different product.

I wish! Nowhere near that amount, not even close to half!
