Default Name of good independent for PPI near North York,ONTARIO
Wondering if anyone could provide the name of a good independent shop that specializes in Porsche's, who could do a comprehensive PPI on a 2005 - 996 Carrera.
Preferably near North York, Ontario.

I can’t offer any suggestions on where. But wherever you go make sure you get everything in writing and for things like a borescop insist on seeing photos. And in my experience if it’s not at least 400-500 they are not checking enough.

A friend of mine just got burned by Porsche Edmonton. He got his money back for the PPI but overplayed for the car because of the useless PPI.

Wow, a 2005 996 is a rare bird.

Sorry, no suggestions from me. I'm not familiar enough with any independents in the city.

Different car than the post on here, but similar situation. 87 928 5 spd, car arrived in ON missing lower front spoiler, all belly pans and is leaking fluid from every possible orifice. Pretty sure in his case the dealer didn't even look at the car and just took his money and said it was in good shape. LOL

I used Hunter Motorsports for mine. Car was purchased in Vaughan, but they had no problem driving it out to Mississauga for the PPI. I was very happy with the service there.

Before you PPi.
I would be happy to do a drive by for you. Take some independent photo's, check tire dates etc.
I'm yonge/st clair. North york is 10 min investment in time for me ...
I'm too poor to scoop it from you.

just make sure you see/drive the car yourself before paying for it. So many bad stories of cars bought sight unseen.
What area of North York is the dealer? Not to say you can't have a good transaction with them but there are certain areas of North York that are known to have scam dealers (dufferin and finch is one)...again not to say their may not be a fair dealer in that area, I just have never heard of one
