I will be going for the first time - plan to just be there for Sunday. What time should I aim to get there and what time do I leave to avoid the mad rush to get out of the park? I think my ticket includes parking so finding a spot should not be a problem - I assume?

Get there early and watch some support races. Stay later and watch a support race as the parking and roads clear (look at the on-line schedule for the day)

Don't worry about parking spaces there are plenty, some even move around the track finding different viewing spots, personally, I prefer to walk.

Just checking with the boss now to see if that weekend is free for my little guy and I to go!

Last time I was there was 2008, watching the LMP2 RS Spyders and other fabulous cars. A really terrific track. Have not seen all the facility improvements done by Canadian Tire.

You are very welcome. I hope you and your son have a wonderful time. CTMP has changed a great deal under the new management. All for the better, including grounds and washrooms. The only negative is the food...still terrible. If you want a healthy lunch for your little guy, I suggest you pack one.
