Handbrake adjustment ?
Power steering leak
Water spilling into the passenger side footwell
Dash lights
Shifter still has some play
Trans or Torque tube might be making some noise, still need to look into this.
I was in first gear at about 5-6K rpm and The tires didn't break traction then there was a loud bang and the trans started clunking as I rolled to a stop.
now whats going on. trying to roll the car only allows for a foot or 2 before something locks up in neutral.
Jacked up off both rear wheels if you spin one the other spins in the other direction and there is no noise everything seems good.
once the car is in first gear and you do the same thing the trans will click 2x for every full rotation of the wheel.
I tried spinning the wheel faster by hand and when i did the clicking became more of a bang and i stopped after the first one.
I would love to get this car back on the road ASAP but I am hoping to not have to pay $3000+ to make it happen.
Also the car can move under its own power and first and reverse, I haven't tried any other gears. but it is painful to hear.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. I have no issue paying if anyone here wants to try and tackle this for me. I don't have a lift or the tools to get into this scope of issue.
Kevin.

I think you busted the R and P if it isn't cv joints
You need to get on a 944 tech forum in the water cooled section.
This isn't an American muscle car. Unfortunately you are learning the hard way
I repeat... go to the 924-944-968 forum, almost everything you need is there in previous threads and lots of knowledgeable people to answer questions. https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...-968-forum-70/
next, as mentioned above, Clark's garage - detailed instructions on troubleshooting and repairing. http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-ma...ure-index3.htm
If the problem is the transmission and you find a one, installation is not that difficult... I did it working alone with the car on jack stands. A transmission jack makes it easier.

Take advantage of this.
If you don't know that the timing belt has been changed recently then change it while the car is off the road. Timing and balance shaft belts, rollers, seals and water pump are insurance against bent valves and a head rebuild.
