12KM = 10-13 mins usually. I made it in 8 mins once.

Approx 1'800 km Ha!
Squamish to Ft McMurray, includes a 2 1/4 hr flight and a 40 min drive on the Sea to Sky Hwy...
Though, I only do that once a week still consider it a commute. Enjoy the drive if you can

I used to commute to Toronto north for about 6 years. I always felt that Thursdays tended to be the slowest commute days. Did the TTC thing into downtown for a couple of years. Same thing. Now that I go against traffic, Thursday's I find the QEW to be a zoo. I'd rather take Lakeshore which could cost me 10 minutes for save me 30.

I thing Thursday's are the worst traffic day because if you are going to take a day off, it's usually a Friday.

25 minutes door to door by subway Y&E to Y&Q. Had a nightmare once that I had to 401 it. Miss the scenery since I retired....

Yep almost certainly me as I usually jump on the Gardiner from Logan in the morning... get off at Bay/York and then Lakeshore to Simcoe. Same here with the notifications, I only get stressed when it says 20mins or more.

I've played with my commute this week and going 401-Kingston Rd to Lakeshore/Gardiner to Kipling cut my time by 30 mins. So door to door I'm now 45 mins vs 1.5 hrs via 401 and 427.

Huge win.

I'm at Yonge/King so I hop the GO most days - less than 5 minutes to the train from my house, 30 minutes into the city and a 5 minute walk to my office - 40 minutes in all from Oakville. If I drive, I leave way early.

Aberfoyle well water is better than city water. Nestle makes a fortune bottling and selling the very same stuff.

+1 Aberfoyle

Live in Oakville, work in Oakville.

Have to drive around a while each way to warm her up.

When I changed firms from Toronto to Oakville it was like winning the 6/49...

What's your concern with a well? I've lived with municipal water, community well and private well. There are pros and cons to each, but all things being equal, I'd take a private well every time.

EDIT: I forgot to answer the commute question. if I choose to walk out to my shop, it takes about 2 minutes. ;-)
