I have the 987.2 with LED tail light. The reverse / back up led is not very bright and I want to replace it with a brighter one. From the outside I can see it looks like a bulb. But inside the tail light, it is not a 7506 type bulb that I can easily unscrew and replace. Has anyone replace this led bulb with a brighter one and how? What led bulb type should I look for?

I also want to tap into the right rear tail light harness to activate a backup camera when in reverse. Is it the black/blue wire? Thanks.

Just replacing the bulb with a new one will be brighter.
I find my bulbs age with use. I know that this is a reverse bulb and it would see minimal use.
Also make sure everything is clean in there.

your best bet will be to use a voltmeter and test the wires in the hardness while the car is in reverse gear. that's what i had to do when i had my reverse parking sensors were installed.
