Another Porsche in the fleet
Been a while since I've been on here.
I have to say I put more seat time in the 911 this summer than any other.
Took her all the way down to Nova Scotia and thoroughly enjoyed some of the twisty roads I enjoyed in my youth.
Today, with winter on the horizon, and the 911 getting put to bed, I added another Porsche to the garage.
Picked up 2011 Cayenne with a 6 speed manual gearbox.

Super cool! I didn’t know manual Cayennes existed. They’re more rare than the GT3 RS on AutoTrader... If I knew manual Cayennes existed, maybe I’d have bought one second hand as a daily driver instead of buying my boring but functional Ford Escape new.

I think there are something like 3 on AutoTrader in the whole country.
This one was the right price, in the right place, at just the right time.
We were considering a new Nissan Rogue, until I took my wife to see and drive the Cayenne yesterday.
That sealed it in my favour, LOL.

Before picking up our '08 Cayenne GTS I test drove a stick GTS and it was simply awesome!! Had to go auto as wifey can't drive stick but it's been a great truck and she loves driving it - we refer to it as the tank.
Congrats on the new addition!

Looks great.
I still have my 2008 Cayenne V8 which I got new. Needed it for towing so auto worked. Have 230k on it and it is working as good as new despite lots of road rash ! Nice to see a manual!

This one is a base cayenne so it comes with a 3.6L V6 not V8.
Yeah, they are quite rare. What's even more rare is a manual V8 one, which is what my accountant has.

All the service was done at a Porsche dealer in Montreal, and although they wouldn't give me copies, they did go over it in detail on the phone with me.
Given that besides the regularly scheduled service, the only other things were pads and a fuel pump, I'm feeling pretty good about the vehicle.

There are three, 6 speeds in Toronto on Auto trader. I too have been looking. V8 would be my dream soon squashed by Mrs Smoke.
Mrs Smoke makes all the little decisions, I make all the Big decisions. 16 years of marriage, I have not had to make any decisions.
On the dealer not sharing the history. Perhaps you are asking the wrong question. Copies of the service with previous owners name, is often a no no... or non non.
With the vin, if you ask the dealer for service history? They will often pdf that to you. I have done that with a few Macan's.
Congratulations of the 6 speed. I look forward to your 3 month review. I understand the Carrera short shift kit may fit?
