The unlocked porsche has to be ready to kick *** at any moment , where as a locked porsche knows it has time and can go into sleep mode, deep sleep mode if its been locked longer than 5 days as you have to unlock it with the key, and hibernation if you take the battery out.

=Might be stating the obvious here. I know for mine, if I leave the key in the ignition for more than a day, the battery will be dead. If I take the key out then battery will stay charged if not driven for two or more weeks, regardless or car being locked or not.

Burning Brakes
mine had the same problem and turned out to be a boomerang system .. the dealer acknowledged that the forgot to disable it and it killed my battery .. they gave me a new battery so all was good
