Default Looking for a 4 Post lift. Any suggestions?

Getting tight on garage space so I think its time to pick up a 4-post lift

any suggestions

I'm currently looking at
the Oakville lift store
Atlas lifts
Bendpak
Dannmar

I reached out to direct lift Canada but never heard back.

Anyone have any experiences they would like to share?

I have an adjustable ladder 4 post from direct lift. Four years now with zero issues. I did look at Oakville as well but did not like the fact that they were pushing the welded ladder. IMO if your garage slopes more than an inch or two you will want a lift with adjustable ladders.

I have a Rotary Revolution lift. 12 years no issues. Look for a lift where the cables are located inside the posts. Not cantilevered outside the posts.
Don't purchase based on price. Had a friend (got me mine) who sold and installed lifts for a living. He couldn't believe the junk some people would put their expensive cars on.

My brother has 3 Atlas lifts. Had them for a year, they do what they supposed to and hold his cars up. Had them up and down a couple of times since he had them and had no issues.

Direct lift .......one of the few that offer 109" between the posts so I dont have to worry about my wife taking off a mirror on her Cayenne and is wider than a standard 9' wide garage door.
Not to difficult a DIY install. Picked mine up in the US as toronto was having a difficult time with getting one. Way more beefier than the super store lifts imo.

Direct Lift...Worked on Ferrari to Cayenne with no problem. Almost 6 years installed by the vendor.

One suggestion, regardless of the brand, pay the extra and get the 7ft lift.

+1

I have had a Rotary Revolution for several years as well. It was installed by the professional vendor. It's all they do. It was moved to a new house a couple of years ago. Works great.

I wanted someone else to be responsible if a car fell as a result of improper assembly. Even adjusting it is an art.

From what I was told most of these lifts are all made in China and the local vendors just slaps their stickers on them. There is very little difference between them.

This is what I was told as well. Also look at any lifts in a shop where the lifts go up and down all day and cables are inside posts.
