My brother has a house down that way, I will try and take a spin down that way at X-mas time.

the personal import and 15 year rule have been covered here already....

you will have to convert the car to RHD before it is registered.
it will also require new windscreen, mirrors, seatbelts, baby seat anchors etc
all this will be a tangible cost circa AUD $10 000[?] by the time it is all said and done.

If the numbers still look good to you, make sure you wish to keep the car forever, ....as it will be deemed to be of no commercial value by the car market.

ensure you have all your import and conversion approvals in place prior to putting it on a boat.
the aust govt can be to deal with....

993s are holding their values well in Australia. They are pulling around AUD$80k still, and typically with high mileage (given the great distances in Aust.).

Also, certain markets (british and HK, etc) are already RHD - so no conversion required.

Q, you have a nice collection there - visited your website earlier.

As for prices for Ferrari's, you may want to check out this site: carcity.com.hk

it's a second hand car dealer located in Happy Valley in HK - they seem to have a lot of exotic cars for sale - gives you a good indication of how much these cars are worth in HK.

No worries, Q.

See that you are getting rid of your 993 cab - that's the last in the collection? Had enough of 993s? Just acquired my 1st a few months back - love the way it drives - my dream car actually. Dont think I would ever sell it now that I've found a good one - it's one for keeps.

Nice boxster S btw - one of the best i've seen.

In a moment of total insanity, I sold my 993 TT [after I vowed i NEVER would...]
My heart hasn't really been in it since.....

The 993 cabriolet is actually a recent purchase.
I didn't intend on buying another car, I just happened across it by chance.
It is the nicest 993 I have ever seen. It was stored for a few years, and is like an 8yo new car.

I figure I will just drive it around until someone buys it from me and gives it a new home...

it has a new set of coilovers, so it is a happy little critter atm.
