I was there two days ago and all the trees to the right of the track from T6 to T7 have been pushed down. I suspect there will be a huge bon fire soon....
Its sad, but it is time to say goodbye... Aug PDS most likely my last outing there.

Not surprising, but sad nonetheless:
"Notice of Event Cancellation
Hill Country Region PCA has announced the Texas World Speedway Drivers Education (DE) event scheduled for September 30th and October 1st, 2017 has been cancelled due to track availability of the 2.9 mile course. No alternate or replacement DE event is scheduled at this time."

This is not a drill.
Adios TWS, first raced there as a yellow shirt on a Hawk GT. Some great memories, EOD kegs with PCA instructors, wrenching in a flooded paddock, 5 SPBs door to door into T1.

My first event at TWS was in 1970 in an SCCA FV. I did a huge number of PCA DE events, and was an entrant, corner worker, or crew chief for a customer at every Club race since the inaugural event in 1997. LSR's and My first PCA CR.
Great Track.
Even Greater folks.
I will miss the venue, and hope for something affordable and closer than MSR-H to join up again!

Yep. Full and half day. Cannot decide if I can do a whole day. Probably just do the morning as it is Texas and Texas is hotter than the proverbial hubs of h--- in August.
