Default Need to rent a car for VIR

I plan to attend Chin Motorsports event at VIR Oct. 22-23. I would like to rent a track-prepared car for the event. Does anyone know who provides this service in the VIR area?
I have received one quote for a Miata from a Summit, WV based team. Transport costs make that option expensive. I would like to get a car from someone closer, or someone attending the event.
I am have 10+ years of track experience, zero accidents, and I am a PCA instructor.
Thanks!

Talk to my buddy Don FRADY at TMI Racing. That is the VIR pro-shop and they also build (and rent) Ariel Atoms. He's super-helpful!

If you're looking for a Porsche, Todd Lamb from Atlanta Speedwerks has SPB rentals. His builds are podium cars and he's a great guy, and a fantastic coach.

Lower budget option would be the SpecMiata shop, Racing Analytics in Dawsonville, GA and they have some very affordable SpM arrive and drive pkgs, and Jay is fabulous. And they build podium cars, work closely w Tom Long and built Global Mx5 cup car driver Ashton Harrison's car.

If I recall this is after the clash of the headlights brigade and a lot of the SM teams should be there. Racing Analytics as suggested or Tom Fowler at OPM out of Atlanta. Both have nice cars.

Yes, it's gone. I think SCCA still has the date, but just planning on a PDX/trackday at the moment.

I just rented a Spec E30 for the Chin event at VIR this past weekend from Drive Gear http://www.drive-gear.com/. Contact Andrew Zimmerman... az@drive-gear.com. The car was reliable all weekend and Andrew was great. He is located in the Philadelphia area and needed to rent 2 cars to make it worth his while to come to VIR. Lucky for me, there was a 2nd renter who had also inquired about a rental for this event.

Good luck.

It was $900/day and I opted for the insurance which was an additional $200 which was arranged by Drive-Gear through Lockton. So, $2000 total. Not inexpensive for me, but lots of factors went into my decision to rent. I was also continuing on up to Watkins Glen after VIR and I didn't have to haul a car up and back from Florida and worry about trailer parking and bad gas mileage. Plus, my car is taken apart in my garage right now and I didn't have to rush to get it back together.

Yep we (Atlanta Speedwerks) rent SM, SPB, and Global MX5's all around the SE, in addition to providing trackside support and professional driver coaching. SCCA/PCA/NASA/Indycar/HPDE. Give us a call 404-996-4100.

My recommendation is Formula Experiences. They have Caymans and other fun cars. They are ON site at VIR. Tell them specifically that I recommended them to you. PM me for contact information.

You could check with LMN Motorsports in Va. Beach. They have a couple rentals, Boxster's & Cayman's.
