Need to rent a car for VIR
#18
Another option is Quantum Speed Works which is onsite at VIR. I've never used them but have arranged to rent a track only 997 for the Chin event. They've been very responsive so far and prices very reasonable. They have a 996, Boxster and believe a couple of BMW's. I'll report back after my experience next weekend.

Are you going to the Tarheel Sports Car Club event? Great folks. Started with that club in the early 1980's.

Peter, I'm doing the Chin event with my son who lives in Charlotte now. Was contemplating shipping my 991 Cup but sold it and wanted to drive something. Love VIR but the distance away from either of my homes makes it a challenge to spend time there.

Chin's a fantastic group, as well. Have fun and glad you can make it.

Hmm.., for some reason I thought they spawned from the now defunct Alfa Club "Laid-back Pasta Eaters" They were my first outing somewhere in the early 2000s.

Now, THAT was fun! The Alfa club is not defunct, and pairs with Tarheel at a number of events. Tarheel was started in 1965 by engineering students at NC State. Alfa Club chapter was founded by Tom Humphreys in the late Seventies.
