Can you use a normal non-locking cable i.e. if you already have an IMSA adapter cable.

I tried one yesterday at Lime Rock with Simon
Very clear, good volume control and I could hear myself which I can't do with a Chatterbox

My best $100 spent with Simon. He is a driving machine knowing every sq mm of the track. Did you brake 60 sec yet even with extra 160lb driver?
Just bought Trac-com. Will check out next week. Very well made.

I have Simon right seat me at most LRP events for a session and I doubt he weighs 160 pounds even with a helmet. We were doing back to back 59's end of last season. I've also used him at WGI but usually use Argetsinger there. A tweak here, a tweak there, a little less braking and back to throttle a drop sooner all add up. Pennies make dollars.

Pro Coaches are a bargain.

I had to get a new communication system as my Chatterbox student headset failed and replacements aren't available anyway. Purchased the Trac Com and used it last weekend at VIR. It performed well and is more sturdy than Chatterbox. My only problem was getting it set up. The wires for the battery are extremely short so it's very difficult to snap on the 9 volt. And if you manage to get the battery in, the cover is very tricky to close. Doesn't just slide on. Poorly designed.

As a reference for us was it the version 1 or 2?

Lay the female end in the battery compartment and push the male ends into it. Works just fine.

Used mine about 20 days this season with students and I absolutely love it.

CBox is a piece of crap compared to the Trac Com. I even bought a used version 1 just to have as a spare and have already lent it out to an instructor who’s chatterbox crapped out at VIR.

Trac Com for the win.

Glad your mileage was different from mine. I had Stable Energies ship everything just before Carolina and actually had to drive up there to have them install the battery.

Deal. I'll keep a spare in the truck and you can replace it when the time comes.
