The two MR cars under the BGB tent dipped into the 1:29s (Jim *** in his car and Cass Whitehead in a customer's car.)
Top 3 cars dipped into the 1:30s range.
(I managed to get my Trophy Spec car down to 1:31.16. Thats full doors with glass and me at 215 pounds.)
The new shock package was notable.
I found that there was no "jiggle" when going under the bridge and the turn 2 "rumble jump" was able to be absorbed quite well and shocks did a nice job of dampning it.
The car really performs well and it Looks like it will be another great season in the Trophy East!

I am making a vbox scene for a rennlister who is racing with Flying Lizard, and they have a racelogic can gateway they are working on with Racelogic and Porsche for the GT4 CS. For some reason Porsche is wigged out about letting vendors on the CANBUS directly, though it's strange they are allowing a gateway to connect since the VBOX is effectively doing exactly that - listening. In any case, these guys should be putting in VBOX stuff, not AIM if all they want is video and data - i.e. they already have a MOTEC dash.

Going to be using several VBOX Video units at the May Apex Driving Event at VIR, included as part of the entry!

Though having said that, on my old 997.2, the SoloDL I had (ODBII interface if you recall) interrupted the bus enough that the communication with my front "control module" was lost, shutting off ABS and TC.

Probably not the right thread - but why is there a gateway in it? Sound expensive, and providing no real value? It's not like there are any packets being put on the bus by the vbox.

And the tire, too. The DH-A rear makes the car pretty easy to drive.
That said, last year, I think only Andrew Davis and Jason Hart dipped below 1:30.00.
This year, I don't know if anyone other than Robby and perhaps one or two others did that, either.
Big thing was that the average lap time of ALL the competitors was:
A) quicker
B) there was a much narrower spread of lap times for the GT4 CS and GT4 CS/MR group
It's a great class, now!
