I wonder if the LM cars are sandbagging by running more wing and thus slower on the oval parts.....
it doesn't show up in the datatraces......

Well, there are a lot of folks who do NOT believe that the way to go faster at Daytona is to trim out the car... Also, the aerodynamic gains permissible in the GT/LM class over the more heavily restricted GT3/GTD cars clearly have a cost, in terms of drag.

The progression of improvements made a couple of years ago to the LMPC Orecas, specifically to move them just forward of having to battle the packs in GTD on the straights, leave them in the corners, only to be passed again in the longer straights, DID pay dividends and improved the racing.

We'll see what BoP adjustments are made after the Roar...

There is more sandbagging going on in Daytona right now than in California with crazy Atmosphere River coming......

Well, when the LMP2 car that led the December test goes nearly THREE SECONDS slower in pretty good conditions yesterday, yes, there is that...

At this point they should just have every driver rotate one manufacturer car over and have them drive 20 laps and go from there.

Don't think there's anyone not sandbagging. What's the incentive to go out and show top speed? Can't wait to see the new cars in person.

Ouch. Said they could rebuild it. No new tub. Fuel line, imagine that!

I didn't take any photos, but both GMG and one CJ Wilson racing GT4 had bad experiences during the morning cold test session.

Hoping all three cars will be back for the Conti race!
