I like it. It's a great teaching track, plus Turn 1 and Bishops are big tests of testicular fortitude!

Bishops and 17 are two of my favorite corners anywhere. I actually think 17 might be more fun without the bumps. I would feel more confident trying passes anyway. Bounce bounce bounce "please catch"....

Don't be discouraged. Sebring retains all of its original bumpy charm. No significant difference anywhere except for the new pavement between T6 and T7. You can still enjoy the T17 moguls. You won't feel the big dip at the exit of T1 unless you are off line or taking an inside pass.

Was there last week, the new pavement is good, smooth and the grip is ok.... best part no more speed bumps at 7
It did seem like most of us were having a little issues going into 7, they stopped the new pavement right before turn in so the grip difference was pretty intense. I flat spotted front right bad enough to end my day.

Not racing long enough to say it about LRP but I did say it about WGI.
I like a challenge and I like character.
I'm really surprised at the amount of people who want Sebring repaved?! I've only raced their twice now but I view it as a bit of history that I get to be part of. It would be like touching up the Mona Lisa in my mind.
Repairs yes. Repave no.

Sebring beats things up un-necessarily. Last year out driver literally lost a tooth filling from the bumps. We've broken control arms and lots of other parts on tough cars.

I blew two engines in one weekend at Daytona, and blew my transmission the race before at Summit. I try to be sanguine, because I don't have rock star money, but the bottom line is parts break.

Ok as a dentist I now have another reason for objecting to a repave. Bad for business! LOL

Maybe all tracks should be made more "charming" by re/paving them with bumps by design. Race classes could also be made more "charming" by mandating flat-spotted tires or oval wheels. Imagine the fun! The challenge!
