Default IndyCar Texas last laps - 0.008 seconds between 1st & 2nd

People complaining about boring F1 need to start watching IndyCar.

It was exciting, but the sense that you are always one small mistake or failure from utter disaster makes me cringe while watching it.

That was a hell of a race, but it is nerve racking watching it when they're that close. Those guys are just wired differently than the rest of us- hell, I hated being in a pack of Spec Miatas going thru the kink at Road America that close to the concrete and we were going less than 1/2 of the speeds they were going!!

My mind always goes back to Fontana '99 etc...

I love Indy Car racing. IMO, its the most under rated racing today. Those guys can really drive, have real guts, and they do it on the track, oval, and street at crazy speeds. So many different surfaces. The Mazda Road to Indy is great and really gives those without crazy money a chance to move up. The racing on these intermediate series is awesome and you can easily own a Pro Mazda yourself. I wish more people in the US invested in open wheel track cars. They are so much fun. My little $20,000 Formula Mazda will outpace any street car on almost every track. I love the Indy 500 and the super tight racing on ovals. It is dangerous though in a day when everyone is running away from risk in this sport. Fortunately, the cars seem to be much safer this year.
