What’s with the top and side clear plastic pieces? Are these scoops or block-offs? I’ve seen photos that seem to show black plugs in the gap between these plastic pieces and the helmet, so I’m not clear what their purpose is. They look pretty vulnerable to damage.
Also, to clarify, this is a carbon composite shell, not 100% CF, correct?

Yes, scoops. Stand 21, Arai and a number of others use them, work well and do not interfere with the Snell rating...
