No, actually there was a lip and a rise in the flat level surface that coincided with him turning it around. He goosed it to show off and it caught and went over.
FIRST LESSON. If the car goes over, make a BALL with your extremities. Grab your shoulder harnesses so your arms and hands don't flail around! Seen many injuries where hands, wrists and arms go out the window when the car is coming down... NOT cool.
Shows how violent it is inside and that there is NO such thing as a "casual motorsport event."

Weird they chose to use irwandale infield for this... AAA is not far from there... And more space.

I know the harnesses stretch in an accident but both of their belts seemed really loose. Wonder if it would have looked less dramatic if they really cinched the belts down.

Yeah, I'm sure of that, the place I'm surprised is still operating. Thing is they have a proper drag strip at AAA...
