Yes, the Z215 C51 is a fantastic tire and is faster...and also lasts a long time. Sadly their supply chain into the US is "sporadic" at best.

Dave....Grand Am experience? World challenge? ALMS? Really??

snip from your website:
Dave Scott, spent many years racing professionally in Grand Am, World Challenge, and ALMS,
many years?? are you serious!! professional? ALMS? really? ever hear of the term, "Over embellished"? ahhh, this line of your site takes the cake!
all i remember is one grand am race where you were a ping pong ball at the start and then your brakes failed and instead of downshifting, you coasted to the sand trap. so, i guess your method is safe if you have a sand trap to save you! ha haha :roflmo:

it's the projection that keeps you going... carry on my big mouthed friend!

I think it's its time we race! High Plains race way! i was game before and game now. any car, any track we haven't frequented!

ProCoach's summary is consistent with our personal experience and is a good summary of what our reported customer experiences are as well on the 1000's of DOT Hoosier tires we sell every year.

As a matter of fact, in SCCA, my clients preferred the A7's to run sprint races in the car, as long as the ambient temps were below 80 degrees.

We did find the performance to be severely compromised after a short time at higher temperatures, but this tire surprised me with its (relative) durability. For those with no budget limitations, you can see a small performance improvement with the A7's over the R7's. However, the HC life (at 90-100% performance) is between 20-40% lesser with the A7 than the R7.

For you, K-Man, the number of laps you are now putting on the car make the R7's a better choice, but if you ever have a "solo"weekend without the kids before it gets too hot, indulge yourself and try a set. You'll like it!

As I indicated earlier in this thread, your behavior pattern is 100% predictable and 100% sociopathic.

Carry on with your thorough self humiliation!

Whatever is going on in your life driving this, seek help.
Funny Dave...... your projection is uncanny!
Tell you what. from now on.. I'll write my responses in smaller sentences and use smaller words so you can follow.
Have fun bench racer!

Hey, besides that one race, how many races did you ever run..... 2-3? not counting lemons races or Chumpcar.

Pete, What tire pressures (front to back) do you find ideal for your 964 with Hankooks?

I am still working with the Handkook pressures but I am leaning toward 30 psi hot all the way around..same as A-7 Hoosiers. For the weight of my car(2910 including me) and way I drive, 30 psi seams to be the sweet spot but I go out at 20-22 psi first thing in the morning. Unlike me, now I have to warm up the tires...

I have never run them them that low and have been shooting for around 36-37 in my 968 which is also ~2900 lbs. Will try those pressures at WG next month. Thanks for the feedback Pete.

Handkooks may suck for you..but they are 2 sec faster per lap than A-7s for me.
And in my case, its all about me....
