Default Loudon, NH DE rooms

A lot of people have stayed at the Red Roof Inn for the NHMS DE in the past as it's close to the track. It's been sold and the new name is the Loudon Inn. You can book a room there on Booking.com. The phone number is the same as the old one but it's been busy for two days.

The property was sold last year. We stayed in October just after the sale had closed.

All of the old staff is gone. A family from India owns/runs it now. Almost all of the old staff knew me by name--I was usually there 10-12 nights a year.

Their prices seem to indicate they have aspirations of greatness but the reviews at the end of last year aren't great....

Cool

They are finally answering phones today. The old Red Roof Inn was acceptable, although not great, for a relatively low cost hotel. If they are no worse under the new management, that will be OK. I'll be there with NCR on April 22-24.

You guys are giving me flashbacks! I grew up with a home in Laconia and always hit Loudon for Bike Weekend. I haven't been there since the early 80s but have heard its a completely different track now. Maybe when I retire I will trailer back out there for a PCA DE weekend or race. Enjoy!

I believe there's a Hampton Inn nearby, at the intersection of routes 89 and 93. Nice place. I don't stay there often 'cause I live about 75 minutes from the track.

We used to stay at the Marriot Towneplace Suites in Gilford about 20 minutes from the track. Nice enough rooms. The only downside is it is in the opposite direction from Makris and Concord which are the places many people dine apres track.
