I don't see any link to the rules. This reads like marketing hype vs a real series. No talk of caging it, but they do mention it's fast enough? How long can the races last? 15m?
I am all for racing things to improve them, but I predict this never gets off the ground.
Anyone know the inside scoop? Who are the teams? Tire mfgr? Factory support? I just checked, it's not April 1.

there was a guy from the NW that came down to thunderhill and raced (or time trialed one) all stickered up. anyway, there were challenges and its a little slow on the track too. mainly because with all that torque , it has no power past 80mph..... it needs a 2 speed gear box to take advantage of the power it produces. at 40 to 80mph, it is as fast as any 400hp car at that same weight class.
I guess racing against itself , all that doesnt matter, but i think things will be catching fire in the electronics department and battery area.
I hope it does catch on, but dont think it will either.

About as fast as i ran a 1979 rx7 on pinner cracked street rubber. 2:17.. but it shows potential! actually, thats not that slow for a pure street sedan!!

hahah, me too and then I was channel surfing yesterday and ran into the last 2 laps of the Formula e race on TV. Thought perhaps they had done something to spice it up, but it was really bad. Sounds is like slot cars, really slow.
Did you know that they've already run 5 formula e races this year? Yea, no one cares... I'm not sure when the FIA is going to realize that people don't like this crap.
