Texas World Speedway by drone
#2
Nearly 9 minute lap time and I thought I was slow. Still a cool perspective - heck I'd even be willing to drive on the track with the drone up there for a session just to see what it looks like. Interesting to see all the evidence of ag excursions as well.
Makes me wish I was going next weekend instead of laying under my racecar in the garage.

VR is right about that music...
Still, an interesting perspective. Sure wish TWS could get some TLC.
That was my first thought..."What group was that with so I can watch out?"... But the off-track ruts are probably just an accumulation over the winter.

The ruts are an accumulation alright - we have runoff in TX and we use it.
Seriously though, about the only thing they do out there is mow the grass occasionally. With our clay soil, the ruts are only going to go away very slowly. My guess is a 1/2 dozen or so new ones are created every weekend with concentrations on T1-T2, T4, T6, T8-T9, T12 and T14.

This was a shock to me the first time I drove on a non-Texas track (at the Glen, no less). It was tough getting used to the fact that the blue brushes were /right there/. I imagine that makes drivers at places without a ton of runoff much more conservative overall -- I know I would be.
