It passed pre-tech, it passed post-tech. and since it was a SPECIFIC point of discussion leading up to the race, it was SPECIFICALLY checked by IMSA tech. So if they passed it, then how could they later say it was illegal?

Race Car
Getting through tech without an illegal part being found does not means all the parts on the car are legal. All it means is that tech did not find anything illegal. It also doesn't mean you can't get penalized later when the illegal part is discovered.

Race Car
Post #6 seems to contain a quote that was obviously false. Lamborghini used a restrictor that was previously banned. They didn't build a new one. It appears to have the correct diameter openings but has other features that allowed the cars using it to make a lot more power than they should have. IMSA didn't give it to them. This is why all the manufacturer points were taken away.
If Lamborghini had done nothing wrong here, all hell would breaking loose. Things are quiet because they know they got caught actually cheating.

Just like the ST Honda Civic that got caught with illegal cams.
