Ha yep I'm perfectly fine with just being prepared and never having to actually be in the big one.

I wear FR jeans (Carhartt), shirts and socks to DE's all the time. The OP products look really great as well. May mix and match this season.
Go on-line and look for FR clothing as there is a lot out there. Lee makes FR jeans as well.
Who would have thought clothing for welding and DE would meet.

Roger's line is amazing stuff. The coolshirt is the best you can find. Fire retardant, comfortable, easier to get off after a run, and surprisingly it keeps you cooler than any other brand. The fit and quality of his gear is second to none. It is the Lululemon of Traqgear.

They are created for different industries and have different characteristics..eg Carhartt has different ratings and usually abide by an arc rating and other standards. That may or may not translate to SFI 3.3.
All FR isn't created equal. Some FR isn't FR by SFI standards.
Here is a good example: I've spent over $1200 in testing on so-called military spec FR materials. None..zero passed. They use the standard base layer certification called ASTM-D6413. Would not pass flame tests and was inconsistent at best. After this experience, I vowed never to use a material that was not SFI certified. Not worth taking the chance.
Also, SFI takes things a step further with thermal protection tests (TPP). ASTM does not use thermal protection tests in the base layers certs.
SFI and FIA uses standards that apply to the racing industry and I don't think it's worth saving a few bucks to take that kind of a chance. And some sactioning bodies are requiring certified gear.
Is it safe to wear? Maybe and I would choose it over poly or normal cotton any day of the week. But, different standards for a different environment. So, please do your due dilgence before buying and wearing in a racing environment.

Can't wait to test the shirt I bought. I wear a normal t shirt under my suit, but not only it's not safe, it's also a mess when it gets hot.
Nice meeting you at PRI btw.

Drifting
Update:
Recently, I have been 'that guy' and have been wearing my suit anytime I am on the track. I am thinking I will continue especially after the recent events at COTA.

I did quite a bit of thinking about what I wear on race day and track days.
For race, it's Sparco driving suit plus Sparco SFI undies.
For track days/practice days I wear a Sparco SFI shirt and Kuhl cotton pants, cotton undies. Some times the suit. It's a balance between fire protection and heat exhaustion. I am going to look into the Traqgear stuff.
If there was a Traqgear option for SFI rated jeans I would love it. I would love to be 100% SFI rated anytime I am in the car.

I thought a cotton t-shirt was OK until I read this thread. Ordered and promptly received under gear!
