Default Any idea on how to mount the Solo?

I'd like to mount my Solo on top of the dash to the right of the steering wheel so it's right in my line of sight. Aside from windshield suction cup, what's everyone doing/using to mount these things? I'd like to avoid using screws through the dash. Even though it's a dedicated track car, dash is in mint condition so would hate to ruin it.

There are some terrific "vent lock" solutions that are car specific, adaptable from phone holders and smaller GPS mounts. I've seen them in use on the track and they seem to work very well. I investigated offering these, but could not get consistent supply two or three years ago. Will look for and post links shortly.

This BoxWave unit looks pretty good, although I have never used on or seen one.

Some modification required.

Their used to be an ad on Panorama for a mount that went from the clock to the dash with Ram ball. It was geared towards GPS systems, but looked like it would work great for a Solo.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. It was very helpful. The clock brackets above gave me the idea to remove the clock and attach the solo there. I found an L bracket in the garage and attached it to the side of the dash where the clock went it. Attached the Solo backing plate/bracket with two screws to the L bracket and the Solo can come in and out as needed. I really like the location. Some pics below if anyone is interested.
