Age is just a number...
Seriously, this is a serious downside of the increasing closeness between the FIA, ACO and Ratel's organization and the US sanctioning body.
IMSA should tell them to take a hike until they come to their senses.

Pretty good article covering the politics behind driver ratings - http://blackflag.jalopnik.com/why-ev...-an-1681325162
It appears that most drivers want to be rated lower because there are more job opportunities.

Wait!? You can get paid to go racing?
In all seriousness, there is such an abundance of great drivers sitting on the sidelines that being paid "more" is not as big an issue as being paid "something". But that is the nature of the beast. How many drivers are out there who can always get a ride and get paid the big bucks?
Sort of like Betelgeuse?

ColorChange, Ghetto Racer, and Mark Kibort have started a race team. Mark is the led engineer, Ghetto Racer is the marketing/sponsor/financing lead, ColorChange is the driver.
Anyhow, back to the subject... At first glance their seems to be a European/NA bias happening... but I believe the people wanting to be downgraded for more opportunity.
