Yikes! You nearly got clipped at Barber.

A couple of things are intriguing about that incident...
1) You move right for the pass and the Radical accommodates by moving left when he/she had a chance to maintain position and be set up for T1 from track right and likely hold on to P2 for awhile longer.
2) You were nearly at the apex when the Radical flies by and, although we have a limited left side camera view, it appeared that you owned the corner. I assume that, since the Radical goes in front of you from the inside and carrying more speed, he/she must have thought that he/she could out-brake you and take the corner on the inside. Whatever he/she was thinking (or not), it was obviously a low percentage move.

Glad there was no contact to your beautiful car. Congrats on the podium finish.

Cheers.

I did not have a rear camera on but someone said he lost his rear brakes but someone else said he got on the grass- maybe both. maybe neither.

The start of the sprint the next day looked very similar except I stayed wide into T1 and he did not go flying by- which was good. He passed me on the outside of the carousel, then I passed him back couple of corners up the road. Then I lifted and pointed him by on the back straight so he could go play with the other Radicals. Nothing to be gained holding each other up and it could always end in tears.

not doing winterfest this year. first time in 4 years.

Committing to PCA and the spec cayman class for the year, so doing 48 hours

I am going to miss the 6 hour race. I have had a blast running that.

What's the old saying .......
You can't win a race at a start, but you sure can lose one there.

That type of spin would be a likely result of cold brake/tires/driver coupled with a trace too much rear bias, aggravated by a downhill braking zone and pinching the entry in order to gain an advantage. A recipe for disaster...

best I could come up with was a 1.35.9.

Grip was a bear and it was cold, like 40

I was trying to use up old yokohamas instead of pirellis

I know the pirellis would give me another second.

I can give you a list of a few more excuses just give me a few hours.

Happy holidays bro
