F1 versus Moto GP

Once again, MotoGP just kicked *** yesterday!!
Double world champion starts on pole, gets shuffled down to 6th, may or may not have a brake problem, problem clears up, starts a charge late in the race and ends up battling for 4th place with a rider who has a dislocated left shoulder -- FOR TWO LAPS. back and forth corner after corner after corner!!! Incredible battle and very entertaining

was waiting for this to pop up...completely enjoyed the race this weekend. I'm a Rossi fan but even if Marquez would have gotten him at the end it wouldn't have changed my opinion of the race.
P.S. The battle for 5th I think it was should have gotten more coverage, every time they showed it those guys were changing positions!!!

I just started watching MotoGP at Spain (F1 not really exciting enough, at this time), so I don't know what is considered acceptable. It looked to me like Rossi initiated contact, then had to short-cut through the gravel to maintain position. In F1, he likely would have been forced to give up the position. It was really exciting, and risk/reward on 2-wheels is very different than on 4, so I can understand if MotoGP takes a different attitude. I was just surprised that there was no controversy - that could have ended very differently.
