Nobody will be even close to the Mercs ... I guess if you have to pick a "Show" placement, it will be one of the Ferraris or one of the Williams. We know Ricciardo is a heck of a good driver, but the Renault that powers his Red Bull is a lemon.
I would have to agree with you ,,,the current Renault power plant is very disappointing ..........

My prediction is for another boring race. Unless the mercs run into each other, then it may be an interesting race. F1 was much more exciting in the late eighties, early nineties when there were less restrictions/ rules. At least the safety has improved though.

No one else has the FACTORY Mercedes Power Unit. I have to agree with Massa, the difference between the Factory motors and the customer motors is too big of a difference to be on an equal playing field. Don't believe for one second that the Williams F1 team can't design a chassis and aero package that is on par with everyone else. They've been in this game too long....

It's not the PU... they have special wheel bearings!!

But seriously... I read in an Italian F1 magazine that apparently Sauber tested a Ferrari PU in Barcelona that had more power than the engine that Ferrari raced in Australia. No idea what Sauber used in the race...

If the Ferrari PU gets close to Mercedes, and the non-works Mercedes teams have reduced engine power, this will be an interesting political year.

The new F1 site is unbearable. Anyone got a better suggestion. I'd like to be able to look up the race schedule for the remainder of the weekend without taking 10 minutes to find it.

McLarens will (be struck by a meteor and) burst into flames and Homie crashes. Not to mention Maldonado...
After that unfortunate Q2 on wet I must edit my guessimate a bit:

1. Rosberg
2. Vettel
3. Massa
4. Bottas
5. Kimi
6. Ricciardo

What ever happened to that guy who said that Vettel was a faux champion? .074 behind Hamilton in the wet! Brilliant driving. Ferrari is coming back.

GREAT QUALIFYING SESSION! Hopefully we can get some rain tomorrow to make things exciting for the race!

How about Verstappen? Again! P6 and the kid's not old enough for a driver's license!

Nico messed up Lewis' lap on the fresh inters, so clearly the Mercedes had more pace.

Agreed on Vettel, great job, Ferrari are definitely getting up there. Their package looks good. Kimi's bad luck sadly continues.

Red Bull did OK as well, considering all the off-track drama between them and the engine supplier.

Williams looked weak, surprisingly.

And in the back end, Button outqualifies Alonso by a tenth... Honda, where are you? The drivers say that the rest of the package looks good but they were still lighting up the rear tires in a few spots so clearly the chassis needs more work as well...

He mustn't really have hated him as much as he claimed. I'm pretty sure he was even driving a Ferari recently like his hero.

I didn't see it, what happened to Kimi in qualifying?

+1...Vettel did an incredible job. Ferrari is now on the right track...not good enough to unseat Mercedes for the championship however.
