It would be funny if some PCA regions apparently didn't do just that with some people... CVR's program takes about 18 months, 10-15 DE's at full cost (weeds out the non-dedicated) with scattered mentoring, a 4 hour classroom session, and at least 6 days as a provisional instructor with a student followed by one last check out ride before you get a red band and your Instructor card (and hat!). As much of a PITA it was I think they most likely have the most comprehensive program out there and produce the best instructors because of it..

Careful Gary, that almost sounded like you were saying something positive about CVR!

My main reason for eventually going down the instructor road is to give back and produce more drivers to keep the sport going. That, and the umbrella girls.

Wish more Regions would do this.

This is good! I know so many drivers who are better drivers, BECAUSE they instruct and have REALLY thought through the concepts... Congrats!

I've decided that if I don't have anything good to say to not say anything... today.

Looks fine to me. Most of the SPB guys drive in the grass, seems to be fast.

You are an instructor when you go into the wall, but still strap it back on.

No, I'm talking about going head-on into a wall.

Do it sometime, there's nothing funny about it... it happened to me, and it happened to many of my friends.

I am scared every time I take a student out, but I do it.

You are in MUCH more control of your destiny when YOU take the student out... Right?

Not sure there is an excuse for driving with so little margin that that outcome is even remotely possible...
