Chris, try one more thing. The RS3 shell includes "emulation" code to read the new .xrk files as .drk so that RSA (in RS2) can read them. I've not had this issue because I have had RS3 on my computer since the beta.

Download RS3 (>100 MB with all the stuff in it) and try again. If you want, you can open RS3, select the little graph-y radio button on the top left (Analysis will pop up on the contextual menu when hovering) and open it that way.

Thinking about it, I don't think this will work. I believe RS3 is doing the .xrk to .drk conversion, saving both files on the computer for when RS3 Analysis is released.

The easiest might be to have the person resend the files. If they right click on the file they want to send, they can select email, then put your address in the field. Just have them watch as the .xrk file can be very large.

I had already downloaded RS3 and used it some. Clicking the Analysis radio button just jumps back to RS2, back in drk world. Unfortunately the person with whom I am working on this does not normally do a lot of analysis so there's that to deal with....

This is correct and true for even native .xrk files.

Chris, can you forward me the email and let me see what I can do?

Unless the export was stopped prematurely by the sender, this should work.

It does! And it saves a .drk so that RSA can open it again.

So it should work...

I have had people send me exported .xrk files that I have double clicked on in the download folder and opened without issue.

In RSA under RS2.
