Default New AiM Solo Trial Program

For anyone who wants to try out an AiM Solo, I've put together a Solo kit in a Pelican case that I will ship to you so you can try it out at your track, in your car. You'll then be able to download your data and see just how this whole data thing works! After your event, you'll ship it back to me.

This is open to anyone who wants to try out a data device in their car and/or who wants to try out an AiM device. The Solo is one of the most popular devices and does not require any connection to the car other than the suction cup mount. Installation is as easy as placing it on the windshield and locking the mount.

I'm going to charge $20 for this and if you buy any product afterword, I'll take the $20 off that invoice.

For anyone who is interested, shoot me an email at Matt@TrailBrake.net to get in the schedule!

Matt, this is a great idea to help drivers see the benefits of data.
Amazingly low price.

Great offer Matt!!

We have a Solo in our car. It is an amazingly powerful tool on its own. What I really like is the display - you can adjust it to show 1,2,3, or 4 pieces of information at the same time - I show 3: Lap Time, Predictive Lap, and +/- from best.

For me, the Predictive Lap is the most useful - you can change things on a lap and see if it helped or hurt your potential lap time instantaneously. It helped me pick up 4 seconds at Road Atlanta a couple years ago just by trying new things and changing shift points.

Afterward, we download all the data to the computer and see where I can pick up time on my next run with the RS2 software. Nadine is getting pretty good at using it and can tell me what I'm doing wrong/right (every wife's dream huh?? tell me what I'm doing wrong and have me actually LISTEN!!)

If you EVER thought of data, take advantage of this practically free trial.

Great idea!

this is a great idea, would you be willing to extend this to the solo DL? I may take you up on this come spring but that was the model I was considering as I believe that base solo doesn't interface with the smartycam

Sure. For folks who want to do a Solo DL with the Smartycam HD, we'll do it a little different. Just because of the amounts of money involved, I'll be a little more discriminating with the DL/Smartycam HD package.

Shoot me an email when you are ready and we'll get you set up!

Both the Solo and Solo DL have the configurable display with up to 4 different things being shown. My favorite is to have just 2 with the last lap time and the +/- predictive.

What additional things or data can base Solo show if connected to OBD or CAN bus? I know Solo DL will log all kinds of data about the car (e.g. oil temp and pressure) if connected to CAN bus; what can Solo log?

Can you also PM me rennlist discount on Solo?

Thank you.
