Default 944 Lifters - racing engine

Does anyone has a solution for 944 engine lifters... I keep on changing them quite too often to my liking...

Does the Lindsey Racing solid lifters are a good thing?

Thanks

Charles

what's wrong with them? what problems are you seeing? the hydraulic lifters work pretty well.

They always break. And then the valves just don't open fully...

You must have a problem, 944 lifters are almost foolproof. I would check the valve installed height and spring pressure.

I don't think the solid lifters are SP2 legal, either.

Would a more aggressive Cam do this?

ive been racing the 928 for 15 years. multiple head set ups, all with 944/968 head type lifters. (same part number I guess). never an issue, but then, what is an issue? how do you know. my dyno runs have been identical for all the years I test, and that's 2x a year.

is a noise you are hearing? I guess if they were not pumping up all the way, the valve depression would be sacrificed , even with a better cam. makes me think .... but wonder, how do you really know?

Maybe it's a combination of the turbo and the nitrous kicking in...

I got the answer I wanted. They can be prepared so they don't break.

Thanks
