Gonna be a boring race IMO with now only 18 cars participating. Once the field spreads out over that huge track, it'll be a sure cure for insomnia...

Probably true, disappointing. As usual, BE doesn't seem to care. But the race is only 1.5 hours of an F1 weekend. Plenty of other fun to be had on and off track.

 

It is true. Marussia and Caterham have withdrawn from the event.

 

taking my family and Dad down to it. we're in the stands at the end of the straight.

last formula 1 race I saw was in Dallas in 1984, so I'm very excited about it. Huge Massa fan (even with his bad luck)

 

VR, Marussia and C-Ham are nothing more than rolling roadblocks anyway... I'd rather watch teams that have a chance at a podium duke it out without watching Marcus Ericsson and Kamui Kobayashi get lapped.

 

First F1 race for me, turn 15.

Leaving in about an hour- staying in Wichita tonight... pit walk tomorow afternoon, then turn 19 hospitality and taking in the whole place.
Got my parking pass thru PCA, but guess I can't park with the Porsches as we're going in an Audi Q5...

Pit walk was interesting- Ferrari and MB doing pit stop practices, saw new Lotus nose, saw Bottas doing pit interview with Martin Brundle, Kevin M was just walking down with some crew, killing time before the pit walk saw Vettel walking down main straight with some of his pit crew... Got to walk down the grid- just wish we could do that on Sunday!!

Weird seeing this stuff in person after seeing it all year on TV...

 

I'll be there! Don't know where the seats are yet, though, until I get my ticket...

 

Won't be standing here on Sunday!!!


Actually in person the cars sound pretty good, very mechanical with gear noise etc. Definitely don't need ear plugs this time around though...
