What brand / type of rollbar for 81 SC coupe
I bought a set of harnesses used and now would like to put them in. A harness bar is about $170 and I think I mightaswell put a rollbar instead preparing the car early for high speed driving events (next year).
What is the best fitting roll bar out there? I am interested in a good value and something with minimal impact on the interior. I have read quite a few horror stories online about roll bar fit and installations, so I want to get his one right by getting a head start, buying the best one!
Thanks!
George

Of all the cages I looked at, I like the Safety Devices cage best as the fit and finish were best. You can buy the bar and add the cage portion later. Runs about $1000-1200 I think.

In my 81SC, I used the DAS rollbar - good fit, strong, main hoop feet sit on the sills, bolt-in installation. Legal for PCA stock class racing, if that's on your agenda. If you go with a Safety Devices rollbar, I believe they make two, one of which is legal for PCA Club Racing, the other is not.
